Prerequisite:
Advanced Weapons Retention and Disarmament (3-Day)
Sark Security Group R&D will extensively live demonstrate why we are quickly becoming the absolute authority in advanced weapons manipulation, retention and disarmament. No other Military, Law Enforcement or Federal organization is capable of providing our level of expertise in this critical discipline.
22 DIFFERENT “Firearm” POSITIONS are explained in great detail. We will fully address how to effectively simplify very dynamic encounters ranging from edged weapons of all sizes and hot weapons training to include, pistol and any and all forms of “foreign and domestic” long arms.
Facts:
1) Control is an illusion in any form of combative based operations.
2) There are 24 different types of positions you can “realistically” be placed in. (Anyone can build an impossible scenario. The key word is “realistic” and yes there are extremely dynamic situations that we can overcome both single and multiple persons)
3) There is not one elite unit's “system” that has mastered every technique, LOTAR, GROM, NSWDG, DELTA, BRITISH SAS included. (This does not ever take away from the extreme technical and tactical capabilities of the above mentioned organizations.) This is only because of the issues surrounding Tactical Signatures and AOR.
4) Techniques can be very effective and still become obsolete due to “Area of Operation” and the “Tactical Signatures” that are known about your organization.
5) There are (2) positions that will get you killed. (There is no proven technical method that will provide a high enough probability of survival to warrant teaching.)
6) You counter these positions by effectively manipulating the environment or through means of prevention by forcing oppositional mistakes.
7) Just because it sounds good and works on paper does NOT make the technique combat effective.
8) Instructors should only facilitate tactics that their students can effectively perform.
9) Normally in “Real Life” you only get one chance to do the technique right.
10) It is the little things that make a technique great and it is the little things that make a technique very poor.
Myths:
1) It is a good technique because it prevented you from being killed. (Techniques should work regardless of who or how many team members, fellow professionals or innocent bystanders are physically present.)
2) The technique is “Combat Proven” because it worked in a hostile environment. (You may have simply been lucky or encountered an unskilled enemy combatant or criminal.)
3) You do not need to know your “Tactical Signatures”. (This depends on what level you wish to operate at. If you do not know your individual or team Tactical Signatures you are behind the curve.)
4) The technique starts when you go for the weapon. (The technique starts the moment you begin to manipulate the environment.)
5) You only need to master a few positions. (You do not want to gamble on what position they are going to place you in. Some environments cannot be effectively manipulated without exposure.)
6) Doing something is better than doing nothing. (You either know what to do in the situation and fully commit or you do not know what to do. Generally, professionals escalate the situation when they are not fully confident and tactically capable of administering a proven technique.)
So What Constitutes A Proven Technique?
You cannot simply wait for a status report hoping that the professional was placed in a different environment or position every time. You must proactively drill against skilled and highly competent professionals. Techniques should be tested on every possible type, size, skill, speed and environment.
A truly proven technique should work anytime, anywhere 98% of the time. Remember, control in combat is an illusion. You may do everything right and the enemy combatant or criminal becomes startled by exterior stimuli causing a sympathetic reflex followed by him/her squeezing the trigger.
Your operational environment is constantly changing regardless if you are a Law Enforcement professional forced to fend off an attacker three feet from a highway or a Military professional forced to retain your weapon in the heavily populated streets of Iraq. We have the tactical ability and technical knowledge to immediately isolate the situation.
Our unique tactical capabilities account for size, strength and speed of the assailant and projectile angles of trajectory in the event you are smothered in a crowd or placed in a public transportation setting. We use REAL firearms that have been engineered so that they are INCAPABLE of firing live projectiles. The professional needs to be able to safely drill with realistic training aids. Our methods of prevention provide an avenue to train realistically without any possibility for accidental discharge. Taking the time to modify weapons is the only way to prevent complacency from hindering advanced training efforts.
SARK SECURITY GROUP R&D SAFE TRAINING PRACTICES ALL FAR EXCEED ALL INDUSTRY SAFETY STANDARDS.
Any and all participants will be able to attempt to defeat any of our instructors. If we cannot live demonstrate any skill-set we provide we have no business teaching professionals. Please keep in mind we target the Instructor Community by providing an avenue for advanced professionals interested in fine tuning their existing skills.
Typically professionals who attend this (4-Day) Instructor Course will need to individually drill for 3-4 months before they will successfully obtain instructor status which is obtained via follow up testing at a pre-determined date.
