All instruction will fully integrate with the MOST CURRENT methodologies for advancing Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics Instructors.  All instruction will be provided by internationally recognized SMEs

Focus 

Significantly improve your officer’s ability to transition throughout and fully comprehend the force continuum models.  Improve overall effectiveness of on scene presence, communication, justifiable confidence and instilling tactics that will reduce cases of excessive force.

Evolution

You will be exposed to the latest training methodologies which are designed to dramatically improve the rate of neuromuscular conditioning.  Lecture (1-hour) on Fixed Point, Short Circuit and Surface Area theories and applications allowing for universal skill development and improvement regardless of size, speed and strength of officer.

Tactical Application

All instruction shall be purposefully designed to facilitate easy transitions from initial skill development into Real-World application and deployment.

All instruction will abide by current Jurisdictional Use of Force.

High speed training is NOT having the ability to rapidly transition through pre-coordinated training scenarios and wearing cool tactical equipment. High speed training involves professionals who demonstrate the ability to master the basics and apply their skills to the unknown.

The ability to identify danger is an important tool. The ability to effectively identify, prioritize, adapt and overcome a dangerous environment is the cornerstone of survival based methodology.

Summary  

Course of instruction is designed for Law Enforcement professionals with a solid Defensive Tactics foundation.  This course will cover empty hand control and compliance, advanced baton, team and individual speed cuffing, and all weapons retention. We will address Ground Survival, Edged Weapons and Hot Weapons training in unit specific blocks of instruction. 

We do not cover Taser applications because we believe there are better sources for that specific training. 

Key Physical Aspects of Modern Survival Based Training

Key Psychological Aspects of Modern Survival Training

There needs to be an adequate amount of time spent on training the mind and body independently.  This is essential in most building stages.  Later the mind and body will be trained together for full cohesion.  If building stages are not conducted with as minimal inputs into the brain as possible, knowledge gained and skills built will be short term.  If one’s physical skill is not compatible with their mental aptitude a false sense of security will be subconsciously established. 

This course will save your respective agency millions in law suits stemming from excessive force cases.  Officers today are put on the “hot seat” constantly because of several issues ranging from lacking the ability to properly articulate their actions and being instructed in tactics that do not account for the ever advancing criminal. 

This course has a high level of plasticity, providing the officer a higher level of direct application for the many unforeseeable events that take place on the street.  All instruction will move at the rate of retention. 

Every topic will be first explained, followed by live demonstrations, progressive transitions and extra time given for all participants to discuss in-depth any and all questions during debrief.
