Summary
This course will allow you do build a solid foundation in the tactical applications of an edged weapon. Areas covered includes: proper stance, footwork, mobility, points of impact, principles of stealing time, negative time, timing, improving the ability to read, whole beat and half beat theories. A skilled operator will attempt to control the encounter as soon as he/she realizes the possibility of an engagement.
The key to survival is focused determination while remaining tactically sound at all times. The level headed operator will have a clear understanding of the difference between quiet justifiable confidence and cockiness. We encourage our clients to go through this course prior to Tactical Edged Weapons Defense (2-Day Course. If you do not have a solid edged weapons foundation you will not know what to look for when dealing with a knife in an empty hand encounter.
You will develop the skills that will give you the edge. You will learn the drills that will assist in building an unbeatable attack sequence. Perfect practice makes perfect, we will provide you with all the tools to become extremely proficient with an edged weapon. It will be up to you to practice what you have been taught until you and your weapon become one.
Our Advanced Edged Weapons Instructor Certification is only offered to professionals that have successfully completed both (2-Day) Tactical Edged Weapons Defense and (2-Day) Tactical Edged Weapons Application course.
You have to earn your certification with Sark Security Group R&D. When it comes to certification we do not, nor will we ever instruct towards the lowest common denominator.
