Mr. Gorumba served as the primary combatives instructor during many MTTs both home and abroad with 1st Special Forces Group.
Jeff managed the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu training association and performed as the primary instructor during classes for Washington State. In addition he was an instructor under Marcello Alonso (Carlson Gracie Black Belt) teaching hand to hand combatives at numerous seminars to both civilians and military personnel.
Mr. Gorumba planned, supervised and conducted numerous foreign internal defense missions and joint combined exercises and training programs, training foreign nationals in a myriad of military and civilian tactics.
Jeff has worked for Triple Canopy since April 2004. From April 2004 until January 2005 he served as a Protective Security Specialist in Iraq. There he planned and conducted training for the Personal Security Detail in all aspects of responsibility. This included intelligence gathering, driving, shooting, while driving, and tactical movement techniques. He served as the Shift Leader on multiple foot patrols while in Baghdad ensuring the security of personnel in high threat areas outside of the international zone. He instructed in firearms training, dynamic drivers training and vehicle and foot movements.
Mr. Gorumba currently serves as a Primary Range Instructor. In this capacity he is responsible in the application of basic and advanced marksmanship with both foreign and domestic weapons systems. He provides instruction on the implementation of various weapon systems and tactics used in an array of dynamic environments and security responsibilities. Jeff commonly provides instruction on defensive tactics, hand held radios, radio procedures, operational security procedures, Global Positioning Systems, land navigation, (nuclear, biological, and chemical attacks and prevention, as well as tactical combat casualty care in hostile environments. Additionally Mr. Grorumba is part of a mobile training team (MTT) that must be able to deploy on short notice anywhere around the world and deliver instruction and training.
Jeff served as Triple Canopy’s “second-in-charge” medical officer in Baghdad, Iraq. He was responsible for the supervision, assessment and training of all incoming personnel and team medics (18D’s) in tactical and medical operations. A distinguished graduate from University of Washington physician assistant program considered to be one of the most prestigious programs in the U.S. He made the Dean’s list every quarter during his entire stay. A feat less than 10% of the students attain during their tenure at the university.
Mr. Gorumba has nearly 15 years of Military Special Operations experience, with eight years as a Special Forces Soldier. As a Special Forces Medic, he was responsible for all detachment medical preparation, examinations and provided initial medical screening and evaluation of allied and indigenous personnel.
