Chris Kinney is the long range weapons specialist for Sark Security Group R&D.
Mr. Kinney completed 16 years of US Naval service with an Honorable discharge. Duty stations have included SEAL Team Two and Naval Special Warfare Development Group. Responsibilities included Leading Petty Officer duties on 4 separate assignments, interagency coordination, Sydney 2000 Olympic security, Diplomatic security, and tactics instructor. He participated in combat missions in support of Operation Just Cause, Panama 1989. He also participated in operations in support of Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Persian Gulf 1990-1991, Provide Promise and Deny Flight, Bosnia 1993-1995, and Support Democracy, Haiti 1994.
Mr. Kinney was the Top Shooter Naval Special Warfare Group 2 Sniper COI 1-91
Mr. Kinney has over 12 years field experience in conducting surveillance, surveillance detection, and counter surveillance operations. He rapidly moved from Team Member through Advance and ultimately to the position of Team Leader with the U.S. Department of State Surveillance Detection Mobile Training Teams.
Mr. Kinney has served on several Personal Security Details around the world and throughout the United States. He served as Advance Team Member, Shift Leader, and AIC while conducting the many PSD operations.
Mr. Kinney is the Training Department Head with CheyTac USA, which involves instruction in the utilization of .408 sniper rifles and Advanced Ballistic Computer (ABC). He is instrumental in the development of new tactics in extreme long range sniper operations. These ranges exceed 2000 yards in multiple wind, elevation, and weather situations. He stresses the “think outside of the box” technique when conducting sniper operations.
